ARCTIC CAT 700 Diesel gaining ground
The ARCTIC CAT 700 Diesel ATV, introduced last autumn, is already attracting a lot of attention amongst farmers and professional users. The machine uses a twin-cylinder naturally aspirated engine, driving through CVT transmission. In initial trials, the Diesel has achieved a generous fuel economy advantage over petrol-engined equivalent machines.
The 700 Diesel shares a slightly longer wheelbase along with other top-end ARCTIC CAT models – and it comes as standard with a large rear rack, front protective brush guard and a front differential lock. For added versatility however, it is also enabled to accommodate the other options available with ARCTIC CAT's clever – and patented – 3in1 configuration – which includes the ability to switch the rear rack for a generous load carrying box... or a pillion seat... or swap between all three. Add to that the Diesel's capability to tow up to 476 kilograms – with unstressed and consummate ease – and the new model becomes a very practical workhorse investment.
Arctic Cat's other models for 2007 include a flagship petrol-engined ATV model, the 650 H1 3in1. It was the first to use the company's own in-house single cylinder engine, described already as being both refined and accomplished – but with plenty of power.
